I’m all about DIY, especially when it is quick and CHEAP! 🙂 I love the look of airy, flowy farmhouse curtains, so when I saw this idea on Pinterest I jumped on it right away.

Supplies:
-Twin Flat Sheets (Walmart, $4.97)
-Curtain Rod Ring Clips (Walmart/Amazon/Target, etc., $5-7)
I put the flat sheets in the dryer for bit to help with the wrinkles. You could iron them, but ironing isn’t my style at all. 🙂
I used the existing curtain rods that were left in the house. If I was feeling particularly energized, I might have hung the rod even higher to extend the line of sight when looking at the window to help it appear larger…but I was not feeling particularly energized.
First, I hung the clips from the ground, and just found the middle of the sheet and evenly spaced the clips by sight.

The next time around I hung the clips from the rod first, then hung the middle of the sheet and spaced them out by sight. Either way works. Whatever your preference. 🙂

I folded the sheet until it draped on the floor just a bit, which gives it a little bit of a “farmhouse ruffle” look at the top. I liked it! But again, here is where you could hang your rod higher so you don’t have to fold your sheet at all.
All in all, this DIY project took 10 minutes and $10 per window set. Totally worth it!

All my friends are shocked when I tell them they’re just sheets when they see them, so this is an awesome discovery! Or I just have really nice friends that don’t want to hurt my feelings. 🤷🏼♀️🤪
