Description
Bring a little lakefront magic into your living room while giving back to Chicago families.
Born and raised a lifelong Chicago football fan, I grew up in my Grandpa Al’s basement, surrounded by laminated team posters, sneaking tiny cans of pop from his mini fridge while he and my dad cheered (and sighed) through every season. Now, years later, I’m in my egg chair with my own teen/young adult sons, learning the game, obsessing over Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson, and feeling my Grandpa cheering along from above.
Out of that family legacy, this season’s wild underdog storyline, and my full-blown “mom-in-the-Bears-corner” era, these two give-back candles were born:
🧡 Light Up the Midway
💙 Da Glow (named by my dad!)
Both labels share the same scent, poured with the same heart—and all proceeds from each candle are donated to Bears Care, the Chicago Bears’ nonprofit supporting disadvantaged children and families through education, youth athletics, medical research, and breast and ovarian cancer awareness programs.
The Scent: Soldier Field in a Jar
Designed with my employee Paige to smell like game day at the lakefront:
-
Frosted juniper + citrus – the icy lakefront breeze
-
Moss – the outdoors and turf under your feet
-
Sweet orange + peppercorn – the spicy, slightly unhinged fandom energy
Fresh, wintry, a little bit wild, and very “did you see that play?!”

Give-Back Impact
When you purchase Light Up the Midway or Da Glow, you’re not just cheering on Chicago football vibes—you’re helping:
-
Support disadvantaged children and families in Chicagoland
-
Fund education and youth athletics programs
-
Contribute to medical research and health awareness (including breast and ovarian cancer initiatives)
How to Use
-
Trim wick to 1/4″ before each burn
-
Allow a full melt pool (wax melted to the edges) on the first burn to prevent tunneling
-
Burn on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, kids, and pets
-
When finished, clean out the jar and reuse it for pens, plants, or as a little trophy for surviving another season
Light your candle, do your angel wings, say hi to Grandpa Al, and let the soft glow remind you:
we’re all in this together—on and off the field.
