Dough bowl candles are a popular trend popping up in the decor world. Wondering what to do with your dough bowl after the candle is done? You can clean it out and repurpose it. Or, you can try one of our refill kits! I’ll show you how.

Clean out your Dough Bowl
First, use a heat gun or hair dryer to melt out remaining wax. Pull out the metal wick tabs and discard. Wipe out with a paper towel until bowl is nice and clean and dry.
Repurpose or Refill
Second, to make a decor piece fill the bowl with any seasonal fillers! Or you can buy one of our refill kits: 12oz scented soy wax with three correct size wicks.
Then, using a hot glue gun or similar adhesive, center your three wicks in the dough bowl. Leaving the lid on the refill kit, but slightly vented, microwave for no more than 2 minutes. It is okay if not all the wax is melted, let it sit and it will melt on its own. Pour into your dough bowl!
Lastly, as the wax solidifies, straighten the wicks so they stand tall. I usually come back every few minutes to make sure they are straight. Trim your wicks and then you are ready to go!
