Do you love before + afters as much as I do?! Any space can be illuminated to fit your personality. And it doesn’t have to be expensive! It can be unique + upcycled however you like. 🤗

The previous owners had a grapevine on the front porch, which is a cool concept, but it didn’t fit our family’s needs. We have three kids in three different schools this year, which means three different start times. Two hours worth to be exact. 🤪
I wanted the front porch to be a spot we could sit together as we wait for the various buses. Not only does it give me a little one on one time with my sons, it forces me to take a few minutes pause in my day, which I’m not naturally good at. 🤷🏼♀️

I had a bunch of terra cotta pots in various sizes (you can find these for just a few dollars at Home Depot) and messily painted a few white. (I like the weathered looks). I love how various colored mums look bunched together! I used all the wood sticks from Fisher Furnishings to add some height and a fun pop.

You can find lots of fun pillow covers on Etsy (check @beautifulchaosshoppe!), and change out your covers for the season. I like to do this rather than buying whole new pillows. @bristolstationvintage re-purposed this church pew into a bench and I love it for Illuminate Space porch pick ups! She also made the hand stitched IL pillow. Not that I’m crazy about IL, but it is where we live. ☺️

Layering the buffalo check washable rug from Amazon under a doormat really makes it pop. Maybe I’ll get to power washing our cement someday, but for now I feel super cozy out here.
